Short and sweet, this Coldplay disc takes the listener through five sequential live tracks taken from an Oslo, Norway concert, offering a recording that differs only slightly from the studio record. Of course, that’s what happens when you offer a soundboard recording of a perfectly orchestrated concert. But it’s OK, because Coldplay is talented enough to take your hard-earned money in exchange for a seemingly gratuitous EP.

Besides, the piano on “Trouble” is more forceful, and lead singer Chris Martin’s voice carries heavier emotion. So if you call yourself a true fan (and trust me, the way this band is getting hyped up, you’ll want to), check out this record, or at least pull it off Napster while you still can.
