It was a full house at Roseland Ballroom when Sean Lennon took the stage, yet, when Lenny Kravitz took the stage, it was a little more. In his first national tour ever, Sean Lennon was able to use the live setup to his benefit, by toying with concepts that were introduced on his debut record, "Into The Sun".

From the opening chords of "Noise" to the slam bam ending of "Dream", Lennon had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Right before he finished his set, he began to freestyle rap, supported only by the oral noises of his backup singer.

Kravitz, who recently released his latest recording, "5", came onstage dressed in fur and a shirt bearing the words "JESUS DIED FOR YOU". In a typical fashion, he stuck poses, danced, and overall seemed like he was having a great time throughout the entire show.

Kravitz took us through highlight tracks from "5", but flashed back to his earlier days when he played songs like "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over".

The crowd was wild, the energy could be felt, and the night was phenomenal.
