Radiohead hope that you choke. At least that's the impression that some of their fans are getting. After the European release of thw Radiohead documentary, "Meeting People is Easy," some fans don't feel very appreciated by the band.
The band, who were followed around for all of their spring '98 tour,
recorded the footage for use in a music video that fell through and was
instead used in the documentary. In the documentary, the band shows strong
distaste for the monotonous and repetit
ive life of touring.
The documentary has been said to be almost as depressing as the band's music;
a pretty hard task to accomplish.
In England, where it was first released, it has been recieving raves for its dismal approach to the music world and the media in general.
Not everyone is appreciative of the demeanor that Radiohead gave off: some fans are even angry at the band for giving off what they viewed as an "obnoxious" attitude to their sometimes obsessive fans.
If you're in the US, don't count on getting your hands on "Meeting People is Easy" anytime soon. As of right now, no plans have been made to release it in America.
What's up next for the geniuses behind last year's "OK Computer?" Rumor has it that the quintet is heading into the studio soon to lay down tracks from their next album. Look for the album to be hitting our shores anywhere between late summer '99 to early 2000
